Why Knit.
Knit started with a simple question: why is it so hard to know what's already been said in our own homes?
Working together.
Households run on a hundred small handoffs every week. The trash, the school pickup, the medication, the contractor window. Most of those handoffs go fine. The ones that fall through cost someone their evening, their patience, sometimes more. Coordinating should be easier than it is — that is the whole job Knit is here to do.
Safety.
For some households, "who said what" is not a curiosity — it is a record that matters. Co-parents passing kids between houses. Caregivers tracking medication. Anyone whose memory has been weaponized in a tense conversation. Knit holds a calm, time-stamped history so the record can speak for itself, when it needs to.
Single source of truth.
Most households today are running coordination across three or four apps that do not talk to each other — a chat thread, a shared list, a calendar, a stack of texts. Knit pulls the household-coordination layer into one place. One conversation, one list, one history — every household member on the same page.
Your lives, in sync.
